About: Harry Potter Fan Zone is one of the world's largest Harry Potter fan websites. In 2007 it received a prestigious J.K. Rowling "Fan Site Award". The goal of the project was to create a bright and lively design with a focus on bold graphics and colours. Over the past five years, a number of design revisions have taken place. The aim of these revisions has been to ensure the website is in sync with the ever-evolving Harry Potter franchise, while sticking closely to a set look and feel.

A custom WordPress theme was also built to power the site's dynamic layout.

Harry Potter Fan Zone is viewed by users of all ages from all around the world, so standards compliance and accessibility were at the core of the design process. Programs used include Adobe Photoshop, Flash and WordPress.
